The Women’s Centre was founded in 1989 when it was realized that women leaving shelters urgently needed aftercare in order to successfully return to the community. We are now the important first point of entry to services and programs for women in crisis, distress, or transition. Our main focus is on providing for the basic needs of safety, self-esteem, and self-sufficiency through client participation in various programs and services. Everything we do reflects our Mission Statement and is offered in the spirit of “Women Supporting Women”.
We are proudly sponsored by United Way Halton & Hamilton.
